Brad celebrated his 26th birthday on July 3rd and wasn't thrilled about his age this year, but that is the day that our baby decided to make him or herself known in the form of movement. We were laying in bed watching a movie and I had my hands on my stomach as I normally do when I lay down and the baby kicked right where my hand was. It was the most amazing feeling to know the baby was moving. It brings a new realization to this pregnancy where before I knew I was pregnant, but it is weird when you can't even feel anything. I have realized that the baby is most active when I lay on my back in bed, usually around 10pm when I am ready to fall asleep and then I get all excited because the baby is moving and I am not tired anymore. I hope this doesn't mean that the baby is going to be one like me who slept all day and stayed awake all night. Well just two days after I realized that I felt the baby move I again was laying in bed as the baby was moving and Brad was saying how he wished he could feel the baby move. I told him if the baby would kick again like the other night, then he probably could feel it. So he kept his hand on my stomach for a while and the baby kicked right where his hand was. I got all excited and then when he realized it was the baby that he felt he got all excited too. So now we both have felt the baby move.
Last night I experienced my first leg cramp in the middle of the night. All the sudden I shot up and had to rub the cramp out. I woke up this morning and my muscle is still all tightened up. It is just crazy to me that things like that occur just because I am pregnant.
Yesterday mom took me to get the crib for the baby's room. I love it and I am excited about getting the room put together. We find out in just a few weeks what we are having. I will be sure to post as soon as we share the news with our families.
