Our Anniversary Weekend Away!

Brad and I had a wonderful weekend away to relax and turn off the cell phones. We decided we were not allowed to talk about anything that had to be done at home or things we are trying to work on. It was just for relaxing. We got a cabin in Ellijay, Georgia called "Away High Away" it was a cute little cabin with two bedrooms and a beautiful view. Here are some pictures from our anniversary weekend.

Brad and I on the porch of the cabin.

Our Cabin... "Away High Away"

This is the inside of the living room of our little cabin. It was cozy.

On Sat. morning I woke up and Brad was out on the couch wearing his University of South Carolina hat, sweatshirt, and pajama pants. I was like "Brad are you ready for the game or what?" He had no clue he had put on all the USC stuff at the same time. He had it on later that night while watching the game.

Sat. morning Brad and I were lazy. We bundled up and sat out on the porch with coffee. It was wonderful

This is a picture of the notebook that Brad and I started for our Anniversary's. Every year on our Anniversary we sit down together with wine or this year hot cider and write out the highlights of that year and the hope for the next year. I also include pictures from our weekend away. It was really fun to look back on last year and see what things God has blessed us with that we hoped for and just to look back and remember and reflect over the year.

We went out to dinner at Cajun Depot in Ellijay. It was really good and very quaint with a fun atmosphere.

Sunday morning I woke up and the fog was clearing over the mountains. It was really pretty.

Another picture of our view.

On our way home from Ellijay, Brad and I went into downtown Atlanta and ate at the varsity, then we went to the Georgia flea market. It was quite an experience.

Last but not least here is the picture of my front steps and front door that I promised like a week ago.
