Bringing in 2008

Happy New Year!! I have to admit I am not a big fan of new years. I just don't get very into the holiday. I enjoy getting together and hanging out with friends in a casual laid back way. I am not into getting all dressed up to go out for new years. Last night we decided to keep our party small and we went over to the Gibbs house and rung in the new year with 4 other couples. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of food to snack on and then we all got together to play cranium which was fun. The guys had a fire going in the fire bowl and then hung up Brad's dart board in the basement so they could play darts. The guys got a great idea to set the Christmas tree on fire in the street which went up in flames so quickly. We watched the ball drop and kissed our spouses as the new year began. It looks like we had some crazy things going on with the way the pictures look, but it was very laid back. After the celebrating was over the girls sat around talking and the guys went back to the dart board. It was a good night to start a new year.
Benjamin did not sleep well to start off the new year. He just wanted me to hold him after all his feedings last night. I was so exhausted this morning when I rolled out of bed to feed him. Half the night I slept in the rocking chair in his room because he wanted to be rocked and I was trying to get him to go back to sleep and instead I fell asleep. Thank God he didn't roll out of my arms or anything.
Benjamin has been trying very hard to make his thumb a part of his everyday life. I got some pictures of him sucking his thumb tonight which are so cute. It would make life so much easier if he would suck his thumb and we didn't have to do the pacifier thing. During the night when his pacifier falls out it wakes him up and I have to go back in and put it back in his mouth. This was part of our problem last night. Anyway.. tonight I put him in his bed around 9pm and I heard him whimpering so I looked at the video monitor and he was trying so hard to get his thumb in his mouth, he just has not learned he has to stick his thumb straight out or it won't go in his mouth. I ended up having to give him his pacifier because he just couldn't get the thumb. Anyway... The new year has begun and I pray God's blessings upon everyone.

Happy New Year!!

The boys in their matching christmas jammies. They would not stop looking at each other, it was so funny!

We even tried turing them forward so they would look out, but they still wanted to look at each other.

This picture looks very familiar to the first picture ever taken of the boys. Benjamin screaming and red looking a little scared and shocked.
