Is for Loving to entertain...

Last night our friends the Gibbs and our friend Will came over for dinner. We had a great time eating, hanging out and playing a little catch phrase. I absolutely love to entertain. It is just kind of my thing. I love cooking and preparing a meal and making it warm and fun for everyone. Last night I made my own version of chicken picatta.. It was really good.




Today, my friend Laura and I drove to Asheville, NC to meet up with another friend Sarah. We all went to college at UT in Knoxville together. This was also Benjamin's first trip to North Carolina. He did SO well. He never cried in the car or anything. It was so fun to see Sarah and catch up with her. I have not seen her since July 2006... Way too long.

Benjamin was a hit with many people today in Asheville. Not trying to be mean, but I don't like it when people I don't know come up and touch my baby during cold and flu season. I am doing all I can to keep him from getting sick so I don't really like it. I of course am too nice to say "please don't touch him"- I just say a prayer each time that God will keep him from any sickness right now.

Speaking of sickness...I took Benjamin yesterday for his 2 month check up. I had him all dressed in a cute outfit and as soon as we got to the doctors office, he had a blow out. So as I am changing him on the changing table and trying to get his diaper off, onsie off, and all the poop off, he decides it is time to pee EVERYWHERE. He soaked the table. Other than that he is doing great! He weighs 13lbs. 14oz now. He has gained 3 lbs in a month and a half. He was way up there on his length as well. I think he is 25in long now. I need to double check to know for sure. He also got his first immunizations yesterday.

Brad is officially sick with something so tonight I am sleeping on the couch to let him get some good sleep and also because I am trying not to get sick, so Benjamin doesn't get sick... By the way... Did anyone else know that you are not supposed to swallow chloroseptic?(sp?) I have always swallowed it! It says right on there to spray it in your mouth and let it sit 15 second and spit it out... OOPS!
