Grind it to mush....

Today I made baby food! I had some apples that were about to go bad and I really needed to used them, so I decided to make baby food with them. I peeled the three apples and cored them then I put them in a pot and steamed them for about 20 minutes until they were really soft. I then put them in my mini food processor and ran it until it was absolute mush and the consistency of baby food. Then I put it into an ice cube tray to freeze. I did this same thing with 4 squash.

I chopped up the squash with the peel on it.

I put it in a pot with a steam basket in the bottom of the pot. I put a lid on it and steamed it for 20 minutes. I did not add any salt or seasoning.

Then I put it in the food processor and pureed it until it was the consistency of baby food.

This was so easy to do and was not time consuming at all! I don't know why people spend money on baby food at the store. After doing this, there is no way I will buy baby food at the store (unless for some reason or in some situation I absolutely need to) I put them in the freezer and once they are frozen I will pop them out and put them in air tight containers so I know what each one is. Two cubes are equal to one jar of food. (I am not sure which stage food though)
