Well two days ago I posted about waiting until Benjamin was 6 months old to start giving him solid food. Well last night Brad and I were eating dinner and Benjamin was sitting in the bumbo on the table watching our every movement. He seriously watched Brad get spaghetti off his plate and watched it all the way up to his mouth and then just stared at him when he ate it. He has also started trying to grab at the things we are eating and seems very interested in it. So I went and got one of Benjamin's spoons and with it empty started moving it towards his mouth and like a little bird that mouth would open and I put the spoon in and took it back out. After I removed the spoon he acted like he was chewing. I did this a few times and then went and got some water and did the same thing with water. He did really well with it, so I decided he is probably ready to try cereal. So I mixed some up and we tried it for the first time and it was a HUGE hit with Benjamin. He couldn't get enough of it! He also thinks he has to follow the spoon with his fingers, thus creating a huge mess, but I don't mind. He did better and better with each little bite! After it was gone he kept looking around his bumbo looking for the little bowl and spoon. Anyway, I decided I am just going to do rice cereal at one meal a day until he is 6 months and the rest will be nursing. Here are some pictures from our big event!

After looking like this (above) we had to take one of these (below)
This was Benjamin's first time in the tub without his little blue tub to sit in. It is getting too hard to bathe him in his little tub. He wants to keep leaning forward and plant his face in the water. I decided to put a little water in the tub and a towel down and he thought it was the greatest thing since Breast Milk! I guess he felt the freedom to move around and kept kicking his legs. It was fun!
