10 Days worth of Groceries....

After thinking it over, I decided to up my budget just a little to $50.00 since it is for a longer period of time. I am also eager to see how far it will stretch. I came up with a lot of good meal ideas with the things I have from previous weeks and things I got this week. So here is what I was able to do with $50.00. * (I did go 6.04 over budget and that was because they had formula on sale and I had a coupon so I got it and then I had to pay .75 cents for tax on the dog food) My total spent today which I am perfectly fine with was $56.04


Total for everything I got came to $164.15
I spent $56.04
I went over $6.04
I saved $ 107.91

I am very happy with my savings today!

Items I got for free today:
4 can of muir glen organic tomato sauce
2 Johnson's buddies soap
1 gallon of milk
3 (12packs) of coke
4 toothbrushes
3 huggies hair and body soap
1 (5lb) bag of dog food
tide detergent
2 boxes of band aids
1 respect vitamin water

2 bertolli pasta sauces

whole wheat pastry flour
4 cans organic diced tomatoes
4 cans of organic tomato sauce
1 taco seasoning pack
3 sandwich meats
2 boxes of fruit roll ups
2 ice cream toppings
1 sour cream
hot dog buns
12 grain bread
2 boxes of honey nut cheerios
1 box of jello instant pudding singles
1 chocolate cake mix
2 pasta salads
1 gallon of Hawaiian punch
1 pasta roni
1 bag of chocolate chips
4 boxes of spaghetti noodles
1 box of elbow macaroni
1 Lipton rice
1 angel food cake mix
blueberry muffin mix
apple juice
downy fabric softener
4 toothbrushes
2 boxes of band aids
3 bottles of baby hair and body wash

With all this stuff I had to sit down and get an idea of what I could make for Meals this week here are some of my ideas. (I have meat and other items that didn't get used last week)

Chicken Burritos
Grilled chicken thighs
Turkey Spinach Quiche

Something with stew beef
BBQ chicken
Turkey or Chicken pasta with sauce and diced tomatoes (maybe spaghetti, or other pasta)
Some sort of gumbo or rice with kielbasa
