Finally Time to Blog...

I have tried to sit down and blog all weekend, but when I do Benjamin needs me, or I am tired and trying to take a nap when he does or something is always keeping me from blogging these days.. Well Benjamin is taking his nap and I finally have some time. Brad and I finally made it to church today. It felt good to be there. We have been going to a new church this past year and have been a bit sporadic with a child. Some mornings it is just really hard to get there with Benjamin. I had to make sure this morning that Benjamin was not running a fever or anything since he has had an ear infection etc. I don't want to get other kids in the nursery sick. Anyway he was fine. To catch up a little...


I went to Aldi recently and I was extremely disappointed! Prices have really gone up. A gallon of milk was the same price as it was at Publix. I went in and got NOTHING and spent 40 something dollars! I was not happy. Needless to say I will not be going to Aldi much anymore. I can just get so much more with coupons etc.

Next... I took Benjamin back to the doctors this week because I could tell he wasn't feeling good and he spent the night at my parents and didn't sleep from 12am until 5am and then wouldn't take a nap for my mom. (POOR Nanna!). Anyway he has another ear infection. So I knew medication was coming and I had them call it in to Publix because they have 7 different antibiotics that they give for free! Not just to children either. Amoxicillin is one of them. So... I got his prescription free! Of course they expect that while you are waiting on your prescription that you are probably going to shop around a little. I spent $8.00 on a rotisserie chicken and bread.


Groceries.... I am going to start going grocery shopping every 2 weeks and move my budget up to $50.00 for 2 weeks. I have just been taking notice that groceries are lasting me longer and I am not going every week anyway. I am going to try this and see how it goes. Next week will be my first week doing this.


A Budget.... Brad and I are going to sit down and make a real budget today. We really need to budget better. With me being in my first trimester (I think) of pregnancy I have not been cooking as much and we have just been picking up meals and it is really expensive to do this. It is just time we buckle down and get on a budget and really get used to it and stick to it. If we can do this through law school for Brad it will really help A LOT!


Sierra... Just an update... Sierra is spoiled rotten with my aunt and uncle! I could not feel more blessed that she has such a wonderful home! She got fixed this past week and she is just doing wonderfully! Thank you so much aunt tracy and uncle david.
