Self Soothing...

I took Benjamin Friday for his 9 month appontment. Brad and I have had a few things we needed to discuss with his doctor that we were concerned about. One was his sleeping habits lately. He has been getting up all through the night and taking 1 to 2 bottles. This was out of nowhere and we were not sure what was going on. Well his doctor said he shouldn't be doing that and he is waking up not knowing how to get back to sleep on his own, and a bottle was the only thing that was working. He said we need to let Benjamin learn to self soothe! So we are having to only go in to put the pacifier in and pat his back. He has not done too bad and eventually throws himself down in a pitiful manor in his crib and just cries into his mattress. It breaks my heart to watch him on his monitor. He is doing well with it though and we will get through this little milestone. I will say I have been getting more sleep with this new method.
