A challenging morning...
I would say that today has started off as a pretty big challenge. I woke up at 11 (yay for sleep) and Benjamin was still sleeping (this is very rare for him) I watched him on the monitor for a while waiting to make sure he moved and was breathing. I then just felt like I needed to wake him up or it was going to completely throw off nap time and our little schedule (which is not very strict anyway). He woke up fussy and very cuddly. So I got his diaper changed and he just kept asking for a drink. So I did what I normally do... I got him a cup of milk and let him sit down while I got him some breakfast. A little while later he walks in the kitchen grabs onto my leg wanting me to hold him. I was about to pick him up when he just pukes all over me and the kitchen floor. If you know me at all or have read my blog, you know I don't deal with throw up very well. I immediately got him to the bathroom and cleaned him up and got him in new jammies etc... All the while I am trying to call Brad but realize my phone has finally decided to quit. It will let me text and call out or answer calls, but when I do there is NO sound on either end. I can't talk or anything. At this point poor little Caleb is starving and has just had it... he is screaming so I go to pick him up and he is SOAKED in pee and hungry. Benjamin then decides he is wanting to eat something. So i get him a plain waffle and he finally sits down and eats it while watching Bob the Builder. I feed Caleb and get him all changed. Then I keep getting a phone call from a number that I know is the person from Church who is bringing our dinner tonight. So I text Brad and have to get him to call the person because I can't. Then Benjamin goes to the bathroom and it ends up out of his diaper in his pj's (our second for the morning). I get him cleaned up and now my house smells like his dirty diaper. The person from church is on their way so I am trying to get the house to smell better and Benjamin decides it is time to just shut down and throw fits (of course this is right as the person arrives to bring us a meal) I now have Benjamin in his crib asleep and Caleb asleep right next to me on the couch. I think I might need to take a shower while I can and get the throw up smell off of me. It is only 2pm and this is my day.... SO FAR.
