Benjamin is 17 months old today!

Benjamin is a ton of fun at this age. I am just really enjoying every moment (even the fussy ones). I am trying my best to keep this blog as my way of recording the lives of my children so that we can one day look back and read it and have all the funny things the boys have done written down. I am going to start printing off the blog to have a paper copy soon. Here is what is going on in the life of Benjamin at 17 months.

*Right now Benjamin is cutting more teeth. I think he has 4 coming in. He has 7 that have broken through completely.

*I gave Benjamin a haircut- he was in the tub and I took the scissors to his hair while he played. It turned out pretty cute. There are some uneven places and I need some more practice cutting his hair, but its not too bad.

*Benjamin is a walking recorder- he picks up on all words and tries to repeat them.

*He just learned where his knee is and he is really excited about that.

* When I change him and he has a stinky diaper he grabs his nose and says "shoo"

*He loves to play in the bathroom while I am getting ready- he brushes his teeth, tries to put his boat in the toilet, and he watches every move I make in my daily routine to get ready.

*He has a diaper rash that won't go away.. we just finished our second round of antibiotics and I am going to have to take him in tomorrow to get it checked out again. It looks worse.

* He is obsessed with daddy's "tar" his guitar. He is not allowed to touch it and he just stands in front of it and says "tar" or he will say "da da" or he will just stand in front of it and say "lo" for hello.

*Benjamin is very proud of his little brother. When he wakes up he usually asks for "bebe" or waffles first thing. He likes to hold Caleb and will just stroke his head and hair. He gets very concerned still when he cries but now has taken on the helper role. He immediately runs to caleb and tries to give him his pacifier or will rub and pat his back. Today he came up to the gate in front of the room I was in and he looked at me and said "cry" he felt he needed to let me know Caleb was upset and I needed to fix it.

*Benjamin is obsessed with his uncle B (brandon) we drove into my parents driveway and he looked at me and said "B?" unfortunately Brandon was not there to see him.

*Benjamin is now into this talking stuff where he jabbers on forever and then waits for you to say something and he answers with more jabbering. It is super cute.
