My prayer for my boys...

Father,
My little boys are not my own, they belong to you. Thank you for giving them to me for their time here on earth, to love and to cherish every moment. Thank you for the example they are to me of how great You are! You designed every single little bit of my children so perfectly and you knit them together in my womb without error. I want great things for my children, but most of all I want them to know you Lord. I want them to share in that deep personal relationship with you. I want you to fill their hearts with joy and laughter. I want you to be the one they turn to when they hurt or need help.

Give them minds that are filled with your wisdom. I pray that you will bless them with wisdom. Let them be able to use the abilities you give them. I pray for understanding of your holy plan for their lives.

Give them eyes to see you in everything and every situation around them. Guard their eyes from things that are sad, scary, and things that this world places so much emphasis on. Let them see the beauty of their creator surrounding their every day. May they see you in a new light and know and feel your everlasting love. Give them eyes for you, seeking out the needs of others and being able to see when others need help. Let them see the world through your eyes.

Give them ears to hear you in every situation. Give them ears to hear your praises. Guard them from hearing things that are hurtful to them and others. Give them ears that are sensitive to hearing your voice. Don't allow them to be surrounded in life by bad words and perverse jokes or things on television. Guard their ears.

Give them a mouth that sings your praise. May the things they say be uplifting. May they never be afraid to ask forgiveness from you or from people here on earth. Give them wise words and the ability to have a positive influence on others. May they never take your name in vain or remove you from their lips. I pray that you give them words of encouragement for others and that you give them the words to say in certain situations. I pray that everything that comes out of their mouth praises you. I want a lifetime of laughter from the mouths of my children.

Give them a heart that beats strong for you. A heart filled with feelings and emotions. Don't ever let them be afraid to feel. Give them emotions to be considerate of others. Give them hearts that focus on others. I want them to love like you love. Give them passion to treat others the way You would.

Give them shoulders that can carry the burden of a family. Make them strong in stature and also in you. Give them a firm foundation to carry the weight of the world and the things the world will throw at them.

Give them hands that work for you. Hands that are strong and helpful. Give them hands that can make things and that no task will be too hard. Give them the ability to use their hands for your glory. Give them hands that can make music and hands that are disciplined. Give them hands that hold you right by their side.

Give them feet to follow you. Feet that will carry them where you want them to go. Feet that follow a path you picked out for them. May you give them feet that make them leaders who walk behind you Lord where it is only in your footsteps that they will ever want to walk.

I pray Father that you will guide them in every moment of their lives. I love them so much and I can't fathom how much you love them. May they know and love you more than anything else in their lives. Thank you for giving me such wonderful sons.
