Webster defines sleep as:
A natural periodic state of rest for the mind and body, in which the eyes usually close and consciousness is completely or partially lost, so that there is a decrease in bodily movement and responsiveness to external stimuli. During sleep the brain in humans and other mammals undergoes a characteristic cycle of brain-wave activity that includes intervals of dreaming.
A period of this form of rest.
A state of inactivity resembling or suggesting sleep; unconsciousness, dormancy, hibernation, or death.
Webster also defines exhaustion as:
The state of being exhausted; extreme fatigue
serious weakening and loss of energy
I don't even know what sleep is anymore. Caleb used to be the best sleeper.. He would go to bed at 9 and wake up at 9! It was great and he did this from 5weeks old until just recently. Now he gets up between 5 and 6:30 ready to play! Then he wants to go back to bed around 8 because he is exhausted from not getting enough sleep! Nothing... Nothing...Nothing has changed it and prevents him from waking up. I don't even know what to do. This morning I got up with him at 5:30 and have not been back to sleep. Caleb finally fell asleep and as soon as I got him in bed Benjamin was up and ready to go. Then Brad decided to take Benjamin to church so I could possibly get some sleep since Caleb was sleeping, and I kid you not... as soon as I hit the pillow Caleb woke up! I feel like a zombie! I don't require a ton of sleep either, but this is getting to me big time.
Anyone every been through this with your child and figured out something that worked???
