The Buczkowski's in Bed....
The Buczkowski's seem to have weak immune systems this year! 2009 has not turned out to be the best year for us (other then Caleb making our family more complete with his arrival last march). I feel like we have been sick since the last week of October. It is almost like our immune systems got low and have not recovered. Once again we are sick. The week before Christmas Brad and I both got head colds that we couldn't get rid of, Caleb got croup, and Benjamin is just fine. The day after Christmas I woke up completely queasy at 4am and every movement made me feel sick. I had slight body aches and felt awful. Later that day Caleb threw up once (just a little) and a few hours later while cuddling with mommy on the couch, he let the flood gates open and vomited all over me! Then I vomited... Poor Brad had to clean up because throw up is just something I can't seem to deal with. At 2am Brad comes into our bedroom after being asleep on the couch and had been vomiting or having diarrhea for 45 minutes straight. He had chills so bad he was convulsing and the vomiting didn't let up. Caleb woke up around 4am and was vomiting in his crib. Brad finally called his mom and step dad to come "HELP." I was bathing the throw up off Caleb, doing laundry to get crib bedding clean, all the while Benjamin woke up and thought it was all fun and excitement. Brad's mom and Dave arrived and we decided it would be most helpful to get Benjamin out of the house because he was the only one not sick. They ended up leaving and coming back about 5 minutes later and Brad's step dad took him to the ER because he couldn't' stop the vomiting. He was dehydrated and had to be hooked up to an IV and given nausea medication. This has just continued.... Last night I crashed around 11pm and basically didn't fall asleep until after 4am because I got an awful cough and congestion out of nowhere. I ended up at the doctors today and have some sort of virus that is going around. The doctor said almost all his patients today had the same thing I had. I mean seriously will this ever end! I am about to take another dose of medicine which knocks me out, but it also gives me hallucinations of sorts. Last time I took it, I thought my hands were covered in chocolate. Hopefully we will all be well soon, I cant' take this being sick. I am tired of watching TV, but there is nothing to do with such little energy! UGH!
