Christmas Eve...

This year we had a wonderful Christmas Eve! We went over to Brad's moms house around 1:30. I started my day off in a really bad mood (i was just tired from lack of sleep) and got out of my funk as we started our Christmas celebrations! I had been telling Benjamin that Madison (his cousin) would be at gramma's house and I don't think he really believed me until he realized she was there. We walked in the door and I wish you could have heard the squeal when he saw her. He went up the stairs as fast as he could squealing with excitement and saying "Madison." It was so nice and a very relaxing Christmas eve. The fire was going and the family was all together eating and having a wonderful time. We let the kids open gifts first as our niece Madison was leaving to go to her other grandparents house. They had so much fun. Benjamin was so exhausted that he fell asleep next to Brad on the bed (he NEVER does this). We ate a wonderful dinner that Dave made and just enjoyed being together. The gifts were endless and amazing! We got a 40" flat screen tv. Brad and I were laughing because we have always had a TV that was at least 20 years old. We have never had a new and amazing TV. I can actually read the guide now on the screen where as before I couldn't even see it with my glasses on. The boys got so many new toys to play with and I am so excited about them. It is good to rotate toys so they don't get tired of them. Brad and I have now realized the importance of having a playroom and a garage! Maybe it is time to start looking for a new house. Anyway it was a wonderful wonderful day. We got home and got the boys in bed. We completely forgot to leave cookies out for Santa! Oops! Luckily Santa still came to our house. Benjamin's prayer on Christmas eve went like this: Thank you Desus, I love you Desus, Merry Kissmas Desus., thank you born Desus... Oh Man! Translation: Thank you Jesus, I love you Jesus, Merry Christmas Jesus, Thank you for being born Jesus, Amen.

Benjamin was trying to be sneaky in this picture... he started unwrapping, I told him he had to wait a minute, then he layed on the gift and slowly started taking paper pieces off...

Benjamin decided to get a laundry basket and put his sit and spin on top of it and then tried to stand and spin at the same time. I am in for it if he is doing stuff like this at age 2!
