Me: Benjamin what does uncle B have?
Benjamin: a gurfriend (with a huge smile on his face)
Me: Oh he has a girlfriend?
Benjamin: Umm Humm... Ben Ben has gurfriend too!
While about to leave my parents house (already around 10 pm)
Me: Benjamin it is time to go home now
Benjamin: in a whiney voice "no... Ben Ben stay out!"
*I mean seriously he is only two and he is already begging to stay out later.
While going up the stairs at my parents house with uncle B there is a landing with a little stand and there is a little bunny on it or something...
Benjamin: A bunny B!
B: oh you see a bunny
Benjamin: thats funny, like hunny.... ha ha ha!
In the car... Caleb is crying because he is tired etc..
Caleb: wahhhhh!
Benjamin: I sorry Haleb! I sorry Haleb!
Me: Benjamin you don't have to be sorry, you didn't do anything to caleb.
Benjamin: Haleb cryin, I sorry haleb! Haleb tired, need go night night.
Benjamin is really coming into his own little self lately. He is leaning words and understands what they mean in leaps and bounds. Like the concept of "yesterday" and rhyming words, he knows that dark outside means night time and that cold means winter and warm is summer. He is very compassionate (for a two year old) he alwasy wants to make sure he includes everyone when it comes to giving out love. He makes sure people know he loves them or misses them. He is learning to say I'm sorry (we say this a lot to Caleb) but he doesn't realize that every time Caleb cries it is not his fault. Benjamin is really really bad about sharing. He takes toys away from his cousins and Caleb all the time. He thinks that anything they have is his and he "needs" that toy immediately. It is all part of being two, but it is also hard to figure out exactly how to handle it. I want to do it well and make him understand the situation. Benjamin has started throwing himself on the ground if he doesn't want to do something or if I say no. I want to be patient, but I want to also be wise in my discipline of him. Overall he is such a sweet boy!
