Valentine's Day 2010!

Valentine's Day! Oh the romance! A candlelight dinner with a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and a beautiful boquet of tulips! What more could a girl ask for! This is exactly how we spent our Valentine's Day! .........





YEAH RIGHT!!!!
This is really what my Valentine's Day was like!
I did wake up to Tulips, Chocolates, and a card from my valentines.... Then the day began and it was like this...

My kids have gone crazy!

They decided 30 minutes was long enough for naps....
They jumped all over the house, the couch, on me and on Brad...

We spent a lot of the day like this....

And now I feel like this...

Not to mention we put them in the bathtup strictly for entertainment purposes (for their entertainment) we needed something to do that would take up some time and bring some fun. Brad got Caleb out and all dried off and then Caleb peed all over himself before we could get a diaper on.. Back in the tub he went...

Now we are just surviving until they go to bed. Dinner is not even in the equation for tonight... There is no romance once you have kids! There isn't time for romance. There isn't enough money for romance... Romance includes having the money to pay a babysitter at least $10.00 an hour to watch the kids so we can go spend at least $50.00+ on dinner and that would be just a fairly nice dinner out. My kids have been crazy today! You would think I gave them an entire box of chocolate and said have at it.

This week my mom has been in the hospital, so Brad mom had the boys all week. We couldn't ask either of the parents to watch the boys so we could go out to dinner for valentines day.. Oh well maybe in the future. For now I am just crossing my fingers that 8 will come very soon so they can go to bed and I can just sit in the quiet.. That would be romantic.. As for the wine I bought ... I might enjoy the entire bottle by myself :)

Oh valentine's day.... Maybe next year!
