Christmas Cookies

I wanted to make cookies with the boys before Christmas, so they helped me in the morning make the dough. Each one got to put ingredients into the bowl and then we had to wait for it to chill. And wait... and wait... The boys actually played outside while we waited because it has been so unusually warm this year. Finally it was time to make cookies so we got everything out and each of the boys got to have a mat to roll out dough and press cookie cutters into it. Usually it ended up while I would help one the other would just use his dough to make a collage of overlapping designs with the cookie cutters and we would just roll it out and start again. Once on the pan they got to decorate with sprinkles. Caleb would very carefully decorate his cookies while Benjamin would just dump sprinkles on his. Every once in a while I would notice Caleb with the opening of the sprinkles in his mouth pouring them in, in hopes I would not notice. You will see in the pictures what Sugar turns Caleb into. It was fun to make cookies with them and have them ready for Santa to arrive.

Caleb right after eating sprinkles from the container....
Caleb once the sprinkles are absorbed into his system.... and what the rest of the day was like!
