The Easter Bunny Drove By

Easter 2012 was not as much about the Easter Bunny arriving as we kind of kept the talk about it to a minimum. We really want our boys to understand that Easter is not just bunnies and eggs. The night before we did talk about the Easter Bunny coming and Caleb was looking out the window and said "I see the easter bunny he's coming in his car!" To which I said "In his car? Don't you think the Easter Bunny hops to everyone's house?" Caleb: "No he drives a car because it is too dangerous to hop on the road" There was no convincing him otherwise. So in the morning the baskets were out and filled and the boys were full of excitement.

Benjamin's
Caleb's (it is actually a green basket)
As Benjamin was going through his basket he kept saying "hey this is from Target!" The Easter Bunny is going to have to be more careful next year!
Using the window markers that were in the basket. It was fun to write on the window and then wipe it off.
As soon as the boys had gone through their baskets they ran to the kitchen window and looked outside because last year the Easter bunny hid Easter eggs all over the back porch. They were very upset that he didn't do it this year. So a text was sent to nanna and pawpaw to make sure the Easter bunny hid the eggs at their house. We told the boys that we thought he probably hid them over at nanna and pawpaw's because he knew we would be there for lunch.
Caleb gave Benjamin a jelly bean and Benjamin gave him a big hug and said I love you Caleb, you're the best brother in the world!
We had a wonderful Easter service at church. I felt very sorry for the nursery workers today as all the kids were jacked up on Jelly Beans and chocolates. After celebrating Easter for it's true meaning we headed to my parents house for Easter Brunch. It was so yummy.

The boys cuddling with uncle B
Easter Baskets from Nanna and Pawpaw... stuff to leave over at Nanna's house when they are over there.
The yearly family photo.  I was feeling extra large this Easter
And we couldn't forget to get a picture with Uncle B!
My handsome Hubby and I... still feeling pretty large and not far enough along to feel so big.
Sure enough the Easter Bunny hid the eggs over at Nanna and Pawpaw's house. The hunt was on!
Caleb would squeal every time he found an egg and he was so excited!
Benjamin was on a mission to find every egg possible as quickly as he could. He was really filling up his basket quickly.
Daddy just gave out hints to some easter egg sightings...

Caleb was convinced the big purple egg in his basket was from the Easter Bunny when it was really just a decoration in Nanna's yard. I took it out of his basket but he kept "finding" it again.

 Great Grandparents

Flying kites with PawPaw was a blast at the end of the day. The boys were loaded up on sugar and tired from no naps so we were in for an evening of whining but had a full day of fun!
