Jesus Calling

My mom got me the Jesus Calling journaling devotional book and I LOVE it. It has been exactly what I have needed recently. I have gone through a period of just feeling so spiritually dry and drained. Not opening my bible for months. I was talking to a friend last night about it and how in high school and college it was like I was just so involved. I was a young life leader, in a bible study, in the word every day and just felt the presence of the Lord all around me. Then life happened and got so busy and the more I had to do the more I feel like I would pray at night and go to church. I wanted something that would be thought provoking and sound in scripture. This has been wonderful for me! They are short daily devotionals but right now I feel like they were written to me! I debated on if I should start in June or just start at the beginning in January. I decided on January and I really think the Lord led me to start there because the devotions each day have been EXACTLY what I needed to hear at the moment and the ones in June were not fitting for what I needed at this very moment. I am feeling too like doors will be opening for me to finally be able to get involved with things once my work life is done.  I have never been able to get involved in a women's bible study and there is a group called mentor moms that I have always wanted to be a part of. I am just excited about this new step in life that the Lord has worked out for us.
