33 Weeks - 7ish weeks to go!
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 33 weeks and 3days- I am a few days behind on posting. Only around 46 days to go to due date.
Total Weight Gain: Don't know.... I have an appointment this week.
Maternity Clothes: Thank the Good Lord for my maternity jeans... I have been living in them. Thank you mom for my new jeans as well as you bought them for me.
Best Moment of the Week: I have 2 Best moments of the week this time. 1.) I officially became a stay at home mom! Last thursday was my last day of work and I am thrilled to finally have the start of a new time in my life. 2) On saturday we did family pictures/ maternity photos. We took them on a train track so I am excited to see how they turned out. Not to mention the day we took them was 95% humidity and I was sweating like crazy. I hope my hair looked ok in the pictures. It doesn't take much at all these days for me to sweat. Some other little highlights of the week are the baby's hiccups. Only recently have I started feeling him really hiccup but I am pretty sure he is head down now based on where I can feel the hiccups.
Gender: As far as we know it's still a boy!
What is going on with the Baby: His bones are starting to harden (except the skull) He should be starting to prepare for birth hints the head down position. This past week I am pretty sure he flipped into head down position in the middle of the night. He woke me up out of a dead sleep doing this massive whole body movement across my belly. It was not comfortable at all. Ever since that night I have been extra uncomfortable with a lot of pressure on my bladder. I will know for sure later this week if he really turned over once she checks his heart rate.
Whats Going on with Mother: This week I woke up one morning with throbbing pain in my left hand. When I got up I realized that my hand was all swollen and I couldn't get my ring off. I also had slept with a new hair rubber band on that wrist and it was too tight. It had cut off the circulation to my hand causing the pain and swelling. I finally got the ring off and it took all day for the swelling to go down. Apparently though I am at the stage where swelling starts to happen, especially in fingers and wrists. And the funniest thing I read this week was that at this point most women are still feeling pretty sexy! Ha ha I am guessing that interview came from supermodels who were pregnant and had only gained about 10 lbs. There is nothing sexy in my opinion about being pregnant at this point. I love this little one and I am trying really hard to take it all in and enjoy the movement I feel from him etc because I know this could be my last pregnancy or if we decide on more it would only be one more. (no decisions on that for quite some time) This week I also had a lot of nausea. I don't know why this has decided to start back up. Saturday I had it all day and have been pretty tired and have taken naps every day this weekend. I also have had some issues I won't discuss in the blog. This pregnancy has been extra hard on my body, I don't know how women have 8 to 10 children.. I don't think my body could do it.

Baby is size of: a pineapple-4 lbs and 17-inches long.
Movement: Movement is not as much as it was. Little guy is running out of room. I have started feeling a little movement more on the right side ever since the baby flipped around. He still insists on kicking me in the left ovary quite often. Movement is fun to watch as it is always big movements across my stomach or him trying to stretch out a little bit.
Cravings: There has not been a big must have this week, but two nights ago I really wanted watermelon (I didn't get any but that was the only thing that sounded good to me) I have wanted yogurt, tomatoes, granola, and cereal this week.
What I miss: Just being comfortable in every day life. Comfort during sleep I have down to a science now that I discovered sleeping on an air mattress. I just miss being comfortable in general. Bending down now takes everything in my power. Walking a short distance leaves me winded and I feel like I am ready to have my body back (not that its ever going to be the same) just to not have it stretched to the max.

What I am looking forward to: This being my first week as a stay at home mom, I am looking forward to now having the ability to start and finish a cleaning project, getting the nursery really going and finding the things I need. I also have a shower this coming weekend being thrown by my awesome friends. Today I am going to try out a few paint colors on the walls and see if I can get a good combination of what I am looking for.
Symptoms: a little swelling in my hands and feet after doing things or walking around a bit. Filling up much faster but being hungry more quickly as my uterus is putting pressure on my stomach and I don't have as much room.
