A Few Projects...

I got married almost 7 years ago and I have yet to put any real pictures up from our wedding. I have a few small ones around the house but once babies come along they become the focus of the pictures in the house. So last week I finally got this project done. 5 years ago I found this old window on the side of the road near our house and knew I would eventually use it. I went to Staples and had a print from our wedding printed for $5.60 in black and white. It was going to be $45.00 in color. I got a wire hanging kit to add a secure way to hang the picture. I am planning to get two sconces or something on either side of the picture. I am ready to get my bedroom in order now that we have had to change a lot in our house for the new addition coming in a few weeks. I will post more pictures when things happen. 

 The last project I did today was to install these shelves in our bathroom. Brad and I have a very small bathroom and there is very little storage or counter space. So I found these shelves on clearance at Home Depot for $4.25 each and they were a natural wood color so I got a can of brown spray paint and painted them. I am really happy with the outcome. I have to get a few little baskets to finish off the shelves and get the look I want, but it allowed us to open up our counter space etc.  After hanging the shelves I ended up cleaning out the entire bathroom and getting rid of all the STUFF that is completely unnecessary. I also want to get some wooden blinds and plan to find a fabric for some sort of small curtain for the window. 

And that is all I was able to get to today... It was enough for one day.



*** To answer a question about the picture above the bed... when I went to staples I had the picture on a USB drive and they were able to pull it up and change the format for their system. As far as I know you can't just take a picture in and have them copy it. I also just told them I wanted it in black and white and what size I needed it to be. They printed it while I waited***
