Staying Home Week 1

So far I am LOVING being home every day with my little ones. It gives me just enough alone time while they are at preschool and I am able to get things done. This week has kept me very busy! I sat down on Monday and made a list and planned out this weeks meals and went to the store to make sure I had what I needed. Monday I made pork tenderloin, quinoa, apple dumplings, and salad. Tuesday I got too busy and was in the middle of rearranging the baby's room so we ordered pizza. Today we had Parmesan meatloaf, green beans and salad.

Today I got up and had coffee, Caleb and I made the meatloaf and put it in the fridge for tonight, then Benjamin helped me make breakfast ( smoothies and scrambled eggs). I made a To Do list, got a load of laundry going, and then got myself showered and ready for the day. We went and picked up my mom and headed to my OB appointment where the boys and mom got to hear the baby's heartbeat. The boys thought it was fun and that it sounded like a galloping horse. After that we went to the Christmas Tree Store (which has NOTHING to do with Christmas) and is going to give Old Time Pottery a run for its money. They had a little bit of everything. We headed over to Lowe's and matched some paint and purchased some other paint we had already tried. We got some take out from Applebee's, fed our hungry appetites and the boys. I put Caleb down for a nap, got Benjamin situated with a movie for his "quiet time" and settled in to painting the baby's room with mom. We actually got quite a bit accomplished before we ran out of the quart of paint we had.

After painting we took mom home, I came home and put dinner in the oven, cleaned our bathroom, washed our bathroom mats, changed sheets on our bed, washed the other sheets, hung and put away the laundry I washed and dried earlier, swept the kitchen floor, set the table for dinner, made a salad, cut and cooked green beans for dinner, loaded the dishwasher, bathed the kids, read stories and they went to bed. I folded the rest of the laundry and then I was exhausted, so I sat down and made my To Do list for tomorrow.

Now I know this is probably boring to read for those who do actually read this blog, but I want a record of what I was able to get done :) I love this nesting phase of pregnancy and I wish it lasted after the baby arrives. I just get into these cleaning modes and I can't stop. I want everything organized, in order, to have a place and to be done with it.

Tomorrow I have a bunch to do and mom is coming over at 9 something after I drop the kids off and she and I are going to get as much done as possible. It is going to be so nice when everything is cleaned and organized! I can't wait.
