Cabbage, and Waffles and Onions..Oh My

I find that people like to ask about food cravings when you are pregnant or the things that you can't stand, so I thought I would write about it and the way it has been in my pregnancy. I really have not had any absolute food cravings, it will just be random times when I really think something sounds good. Like last night I really wanted boiled cabbage. How many times in my life have I made boiled cabbage with dinner? (NONE). But it hit the spot and was exactly what I wanted. Another night soon after I was experiencing morning sickness in my first trimester I really wanted an omelet at 11:00 at night. So I made one and it was great. So I really have not had something I have craved in this pregnancy, but I have found some foods that I normally don't eat that I love. Waffles: I usually don't eat them, maybe on occasion but they have become something I really love to eat, but they have to be homemade waffles. My other love is raw onions. I have NEVER liked them before, but I now love them on salads and sandwiches etc. If it comes with onion I am all for it. Now aversions have been a whole different thing in my pregnancy. I had aversions to almost everything in the first trimester, but one aversion has stayed with me throughout all of it so far and that is to BBQ. I used to love pulled BBQ sandwiches and now I can't stand to think about them, so that is all I am going to write about it.
That is the only thing I really can't stand. I am not a big fan of fish though, but never was a huge fan of it before pregnancy.

Well the little bug is doing well. He weighs a pound now and has a specific sleep position unique to him. I read that some babies like the balled up fetal position and some like to sprawl out and put their head back as far as they can. I don't think he was very comfortable last night and neither was I. Maybe I was making him uncomfortable, but it was the worst night of sleep ever.
I will reach 3rd trimester on Sat. which means I am probably going to start gaining more weight as he is just going to be getting bigger. I feel huge already. I was telling someone I am having a harder time bending over now (which makes Brad laugh) and every time I bend over for some reason I grunt. (which is new) I have a short torso, and it has all become baby so he presses on my lungs a whole lot more than he used to, which causes me to get out of breath much faster. I am going to be on a respirator before this pregnancy is over. All is well though and he is doing great (still extreemly active) usually only when I don't want him to be. He tends to get active about 20 minutes after I eat, I am guessing when he starts to get his nutrients. I am sure he was not happy with me feeding him cabbage last night. Anyway that is about all I have for now.
