I'm building a nest
When I was younger, dad would always come in and check on me really early in the morning before leaving for work. He always used to say I slept in a nest, because I would completely surround myself with pillows (6 total) and then make sure my blankets were all snug and pulled up around me. Well I have finally reached my pregnancy "nesting" phase and it is going to be wonderful for me. My mom came over today with boxes to help me declutter and get rid of things. I have reached a point where I want absolutely NO clutter around me. I want things clean and organized as well. Mom is good at doing this and so the fun began today. I figured now was a good time since we will be moving into our new house in a few weeks. We began in the spare bedroom, moved to the dining room, then off to the living room and ended for the day by cleaning out the laundry room. I am going to have a garage sale and whatever I make on the garage sale will go towards our new house and buying paint or whatever to get the house settled. Mom is coming back over in the morning to begin day 2 of decluttering my house. We have our bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and office area to do tomorrow. Day 3 will consist of the garage and everything we have just put out there because it had no place to go in the house. It is amazing how much STUFF you can collect between two people in less than two years. Brad and I have more junk that we have no place for. Both Brad and I have a problem with throwing away anything that is special or that we gave each other when we were dating etc.. Thank the Lord that mom is helping me because I would be nowhere without her help. I will keep you all up to date on our progress.
