My Little Bug

I don't know what it is about mothers coming up with little nicknames for their children, but I think just about everyone does it. At least my mom did. Brandon was her "pumpkin", I was her "Sweet Pea" and my little brother was her "B-Bop". I just think it is funny how it happens. At first when I was pregnant and didn't know the sex of the baby, I didn't want to call the baby "it". I started calling the baby my little bug. I don't know where it came from or why I called him that, but it has stuck. So he is my little bug when I talk to him.

Well as many people know Brad and I were in a battle for our child's name because we didn't agree on ANY names. I really started praying that God would change Brad's heart when he started suggesting names like Ace, Axel, and of course there was Phineas. I was convinced our son would never have a name. Well I was wrong because he has now been named. Don't ask though because the name is going to be kept a secret. We figured that since we found out he was a boy that we should at least let the name be a surprise. It is kind of funny though because in the process of figuring out our first son's name, we were able to come up with names for the next two sons (if there are two more). I guess our battle will be for a girl name if we have a girl too, although we are pretty decided on part of a girls name.

Well last night I started my fall clinic for school. It was a rough night! We are seeing 2 patients in the time that we normally saw one patient. Well I scheduled my hardest patient to come in and she didn't show up or call or anything, so I was left witout a patient. Luckily a lady came in for our second clinic time with her sister and wanted to see if she could get her teeth cleaned. I of course was eager to take her as a patient, but we didn't get too much done. Needless to say I was exhausted after having clinic from 6 to 10pm. That is a late night to clean teeth.

I never give updates on Brad on here so I will try and get better about that. (I will post some pictures of us soon) Brad is really enjoying his new job. He works with one of his best friends and just really enjoys it. He likes that he feels challenged at work and there are projects to be done, not just taking a coffee order and giving it to someone. I don't know how he stands it out in the hot sun all day. With temperatures as high as they have been in Greenville, I worry about him a little. He has lost 15 pounds since he has started working outside. I know a lot of you that know Brad well are thinking (he can't afford to lose 15 pounds) but due to my first trimester of pregnancy and a lot of microwave pizza, it has not hurt Brad to lose the weight. He was by no means overweight, but had gained in the past months.

Well that is about all I have for now. I need to get my day going and do something productive. I think my sink of dirty dishes are calling my name.
