Rockin Around the Christmas Tree

Well Benjamin is 12 days old now and I can't believe how fast it is already going by. His cord fell off today and he has the cutest little belly button. I fall more in love with him every day that goes by. He is starting to spend more time with his eyes open, which has been fun for Brad and I. He focuses very well for being so young. He is definately a pacifier baby and sleeps with one all night. He still likes to be swaddled at night and he loves to be held all the time. Tomorrow I go back to the doctor to make sure everything has healed from having Benjamin. I have been trying to get his birth announcements printed, but my printer is all messed up and needs to be worked on. I am going to take them to my dad's office to print them. I really want to get them sent out. I got on the scale the other day because I was curious how much I have lost since Benjamin was born. I had gained a total of 30lbs. with him and right now I am 12 lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight. I am not at all concerned with my weight right now, I was just curious because my belly went down so much so quickly.
Well tonight we had a wonderful family night. This afternoon Brad worked on getting our christmas tree to stand up straight in the stand. Brad and I don't have very good luck with christmas trees, so we expected it to be a big ordeal, but it wasn't. We let the branches fall over the afternoon and then this evening got chineese food (there is nothing more like christmas than chineese food and Frank Sanatra christmas music) We ate and then decorated the tree together. Benjamin was there of course, but was not too interested. I helped him hang his first christmas ornament and he screamed about it and come to find out he was just really hungry. Anyway.. it was a wonderful evening with our little family.
