I was laying on the floor playing with him last night and he was looking at himself in the mirror on his baby Einstein mat and I took the opportunity for a unique picture of his reflection.
Fingers are his new favorite chew toy, including his own. I don't think he is going to be a thumb sucker after all. I think he will continue to suck his fingers, but not his thumb, although he had it in his mouth today. I guess I will have to wait and find out. At this point I don't care if he ends up with a thumb or pacifier. I had just wanted him to find his thumb months ago due to the fact that we were getting up every 10 minutes during the night to put the pacifier back in. He has now learned to fall asleep with his pacifier and then spit it out and be okay without it. I have to say it has made it much easier on me. So if he doesn't become a thumb sucker I am okay with it.
He is doing a good job of raising his head and arms when he is on his stomach.
I talked with his doctor yesterday about rice cereal and I made the decision to take it back out of his last feeding of the night. His doctor suggested trying to wait until 6 months to introduce foods and just sticking to the nursing for now. I was perfectly fine with this. His reason for doing this is that they are starting to see a correlation with early introduction to solid food and food allergies in children. I am all for nursing until he is older and then introducing food. We will see how it continues to go.
I am pretty sure Benjamin is going to have very blue eyes (as you can see in the picture to the left) I think they are striking and I love it.
Below was my other fun picture. I took it looking through one of the rings that holds his toys.
He looks terrified of his elephant in this picture.
I loved this picture of him about to cry. Not that I want my child to cry, but I love when that little bottom lip sticks so far out.
Check out his hair now.. When he gets a bath his hair sticks straight up. It looks very red in this picture, but it is misleading because his hair is actually very blonde right now. It is extra funny because his hair doesn't stick up on the sides, just on top.
Well lets see what else I can fill everyone in on... I still don't have a patient for my national boards which I take one week from today. I thought Brad would for sure qualify and he doesn't. I am getting pretty nervous because I have a lot to get done before next Saturday. Please be praying that this will all work out because I have already paid the 900.00 for this test and if I don't get a patient I could end up having to pay it all over again.
Well I am going to take a nap since it is a cold rainy day here and perfect for a nap.
