Out with the Old in with the New...

Benjamin is growing up way too fast! He has started a few new things! Yesterday he tried apple juice for the first time. (Well if you can call it apple juice) It was 1 ounce of apple juice and 3 ounces of water. So basically it was gross, and he LOVED it. I don't want him having a lot of juice though, because I don't want him having all the sugar. He gets just water the rest of the time. He has not had rice cereal again since the first time he ate it. I tried to give it to him, but he was NOT interested. Maybe he is not ready yet. I will try again this weekend and if he still isn't interested I will just go back to nursing only. Benjamin has also started to reach up when he wants you to pick him up. I love this. It is just another way he is communicating with me and other people.
Onto out with the old.... Benjamin's carseat is going to the attic. SAD! He has just really outgrown it and it is getting really hard to carry him around in it. I usually take him out anyway and put him in the stroller.
In with the NEW.... This is Benjamin's new carseat! It is HUGE! I liked the side impact testing that was done on it (the sides are obviously wider than normal) I also learned that a carseat is safest in the center seat of a car.. why did I not know this before?? This morning Benjamin and I went out on the porch and I sat in the swing and drank my coffee and looked through the paper. Benjamin enjoyed sitting outside. It was also nice and cool out there.
Yesterday as part of my mothers-day gift from mom and dad, mom got me hanging baskets for the front porch. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!
You have to ignore the grass in the picture below. Our lawnmower is broken right now (Brad can't get it to work) and our grass is out of control.
Well Benjamin is on the move now! There is no more just leaving him in the room to play on a blanket or mat. This morning was a great example. I put him down on this blanket and...
I went into the other room for a few minutes until I started hearing this noise that I knew was not his toys.. I came back in and he was playing with the DVD player!
