My mom sent me a link to a blog she follows about a very sick little girl and her amazing parents who are just trusting God with this situation. Mom wanted me to read the most recent blog about some of their financial concerns and what they have been advised by their insurance company and by a social worker to do in order to get funds. Basically he was told he makes too much money as a youth minister to qualify for Medicaid, and their bills are around $7,000 to $8,000 a month.
I am absolutely disgusted with our government right now. (I am sorry if i am about to step on some toes with this issue) I am absolutely appalled that our government will give Medicaid to illegal immigrants who cross our borders while in labor and are given full Medicaid benefits because they had their baby on US soil, yet one of our own citizens is really struggling with a crisis and they are turned away! WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY????? It makes me want to screem!
I know we are told we have a voice with our government, and this issue makes me want to write someone, but I truely don't feel like it will make a difference. I hate to think or say that, but it is how I feel. I am very tempted to do something.
