May you be reminded...
I hope you wake up this morning not thinking about gifts we give to each other, but of the one true gift given to us. It is so hard to comprehend the gift we are given in the birth of our savior. It was so long ago, none of us were there, but we believe in our hearts the story of Christmas. We celebrate by sharing gifts with each other, but somewhere in it gets lost the true meaning of the season. It is always in the back of our mind and it takes a lot of focus to bring it to a place where we are conscious of our celebration. Be reminded today that our savior was brought into this world, the same way we were, to a mother and father who loved him. At the same time he was different. He was born with a purpose set before him. His heavenly father knew what this would one day be, and he fulfilled it. He took on all the wrong and dirt each one of us have and today we are forgiven. It all started with a willing young woman, a noble man, and a miracle birth. Don't forget this morning what we are really celebrating.
