Grocery Shopping
I went to a few different places this time. I don't do this very often, but there were some really good deals that just had to be taken advantage of.
I had some extra money left over from last months grocery budget, so I got to spend more today. I also have started preparing for the baby to arrive so I am trying to stock up on things so I won't need to go shopping for a while. (I think I am off to a good start).
Let me tell you what I got and what kid of deals etc...
I will start with K-Mart
This weekend was double coupons up to 2.00 so a possible 4.00 off of one item.
1 Gillette Men's Shampoo- $4.50 c/-2.00 (so 4.00 off) paid- 0.50
1 Gillette Men's shave gel - $2.69- c/-1.00 (2.00 off) paid 0.69
Contact solution 8.79 - 2.00x2 = -4.00 paid 4.79
scrubbing bubbles wipes 2.79 - 1.00x 2= 2.00 = paid .79
lysol cleaning wipes 5.00 -1.00 x2 = 2.00 paid 3.00
bounty paper towels 2.49 - 1.00x 2= 2.00 paid .49
chex cereal 2.99- .75 x2 = 1.50 paid 1.49
2 bags of rice cakes at 1.99 each - 1.00 x2 for each bag (total of 4.00 off)= free
Total: 33.23
Total paid$12.84
Saved: 20.39
Wal-Mart
6 boxes of Kashi breakfast bars 2.50 each. I had 2.00 off coupons for each box so I only paid .50 per box. (this was a great deal) Benjamin loves these for breakfast, so I am set.
Ritz and Wheat Thin cracker crisps were on sale for 2.00 each. I had 2 coupons for 2.00 off of two so I paid 1.00 per bag.
Kens Marinade on sale for 1.75 and I had a 1.00 coupon so I paid .75 for each bottle.
Kens Salad dressings were 1.78 and I had a 1.00 off of 2 bottles so I got them both for 1.78
Progresso soup was on sale for 1.50 each I had 2 coupons for 1.10 off of one so I only paid 0.40 cents per can
Mission tortillas 2.00 each (i got 2) and I had a coupon for 1.00 off each one so I only paid 2.00
Total 35.06
Total paid: 13.86
Savings of 21.20
Ingles (I usually don't shop here, but they had some deals I wanted to take advantage of)
Dr. Pepper - Free (I had a coupon to get it free)
Cascade- Free (I had a coupon to get it free)
Suave Shampoo (I had a coupon to get it free)
Pringles minis 2.00 -1.00 paid 1.00
Fiber 1 pop tarts- 2.13 - 1.00 paid 1.13
2 cans of tomato sauce .87 each -.80 paid .94 for both
5 pillsbury pizza crusts @1.24 each (I had coupons for .80 off each) so i got them for .44 each
8 crescent rolls (4 count) @ 1.24 each ( i had coupons for .50 off each) so I got them for .74 each
1 grands biscuits @ 1.24 -.50 so i got it for .74 cents
4 cinnamon rolls (5 count) @ 1.24 each ( I had coupons for .60 off each) so I got them for .64 each
Deli meat 2.50 - 1.00 I paid 1.50
2 Little smokies 1.69 each -1.00 = 2.38
Green Giant steamed veggies 2.38- 1.00 = 1.38
Voila frozen dinner 3.98-1.00= 2.98
These were all the items I had coupons for. The total of these items with coupons came to 19.14 But I spent 27.97 on items I didn't have coupons for.
Here is what I got that didn't have coupons.

sunbutter( made out of sunflower seeds since we don't know if Benjamin is allergic to peanut butter yet) 5.78 EXPENSIVE but it will last a while
