Back in October when our house was broken into I wanted nothing more then to catch the creep who came into my house, violating my privacy and taking anything he wanted. I didn't know what to do, there was really nothing I could do. So I prayed... I prayed for the person who came into our house thinking that what he was doing was fine, I prayed that the Lord would allow us to catch who did it and that if he needed to be caught that it would happen. I had decided that anger about the situation would not get me anywhere so all I could do was pray.
Ever since the break in I have been extra cautious, I keep our house locked up like Fort Knox and I find myself waking up at night sometime fearful that someone might get in our house. I am constantly having to pray against these feelings and that the Lord would just protect our home, children and family from any evil.
Well I kind of just pushed the whole thing aside as the weeks passed and figured that we would never know who did it. ( I still had my theory on who was involved) Just this week Brad got a phone call from a neighbor of ours who happened to be walking her dog on our street. (we put fliers in our neighbors mailboxes to let them know about the break in) This neighbor often picks up trash and things that the teens next door and their friends just throw out of their cars onto the street outside of our house and their house. Well there was something that happend to be eye catching. It was something wrapped up in plastic and this neighbor thought it was drugs. Unwrapping it, unraveled a reciept from a pawn shop. On this reciept was the name, address, drivers license number, description of the person (height, weight, eye color etc) and an item that had been sold. This item was a record player that I gave to Brad for Christmas one year and we had never been able to use it because we didn't have the correct speakers for it. It just so happened that we had the original box the record player came in and therefore had the serial number. The serial number matched the one on the reciept. I immediately called the detective in charge of our case and he came the next day and got the reciept etc. This is where we are at this point. I am so thankful that we know who did this and that they were not able to get away with it. I dont know exactly what the full process is at this point and what will happen, but I do know that the Lord is in charge of the situation. I do hope that something drastic enough will happen to prevent this person from doing this to others. That he will realize that what he has done is so wrong and he would be so angry if it happened to him. I also hope this whole situation scares the living daylights out of him.
Now you can't tell me that the Lord was not involved in the unraveling of this situation. What are the chances that someone would find a tiny wrapped up piece of paper thrown on the ground and it just happens to be the puzzle piece that was needed? Anyway I will keep you up to date on what happens from here as things progress.

HOLY COW!!!! so i'm guessing that's who you suspected, perhaps?? wow, wow, wow! praying that justice be done, in the Lord's will of course :)
it is not who I thought, but we think that there was more than one person involved and that more than one person is who I suspected and the guy who is getting caught is a friend of his.
