Benjamin has heard us and his grandparents make the comment "he is such a smart little boy" when he will say things that you just don't know where he learned it or got it from etc. Well I try not to really say this to his face because recently if he says something that forms a reaction he follows it by "Ben Ben is smart!" Now in the long run it is not bad or anything, but I will never be one of those parents who just focuses on the wisdom of their children. I don't want him going around telling people he is smart. Of course every mom and dad thinks their child is smart, I just don't want Benjamin going around telling other people. (does that make since?)
Benjamin this past Saturday did something for the first time... He climbed out of his crib, opened his bedroom door, and then opened ours and he quietly tiptoed over to my side of the bed where he wanted to get up and cuddle! It melted my heart! He fell back to sleep and slept in bed until he was ready to get up. This is something my parents have talked about many many times when we were kids coming to get in bed with them. Well it has started now with my family and I am eager to embrace it. Once agian this too shall pass quicker then I am ready for.
Benjamin bit Caleb for the first time this weekend. This is not a new fun stage.
Benjamin has recently started saying "Ben Ben got dirt" when he is poopy. I think he means that he is dirty, but it is still cute well except that it involves poop.
Recently Benjamin has been having a hard time with me leaving in the morning for work. He has been crying and saying "ben ben hold mom mom" it really breaks my heart! It makes having to go to work, that much harder for me.
