My boys woke up around 7 on Christmas morning and we had agreed to not go downstairs until 7:30 so all the kids could be there at the same time. Before we came downstairs Brad and the kids and I got in our bed together and read the Christmas story of Jesus birth. It was a good reminder and way to start our Christmas morning. I took a video of the boys coming down the stairs and their excitement that Santa CAME! The boys were overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin. We let the boys go through their stuff and open their gifts first.
A football... the only thing Benjamin asked Santa for this year. Clearly he was excited Santa listened and this is what he got.
Caleb got the bike that he could not wait for. He was so excited that santa brought him a big boy bike to ride like Benjamin.
Outside to ride his bike for the first time.
He thought he would ride it down the driveway and was working his way up to the top. We didn't let that happen though.
He did end up standing on the back and riding backwards down the bottom part of the driveway.
Breakfast Christmas Morning was a feast. Egg souffle, blueberry french toast bake, eggs Portuguese, eggnog yogurt with granola, bacon, etc.. it was wonderful.
I gave Benjamin, Caleb and Brad Nerf guns for the wednesdays when daddy is home with the boys. This seemed like a good idea for daddy days :)
Playing their mobigo's
All of us going through our Christmas Stockings
Brad couldn't wait to get out on the back porch with a fire and a good book.
Caleb gave pawpaw his stuffed animals to sleep with
Christmas evening aunt Kathryn made it up to the lake house and we gave her, her gifts.
After all the kids (except Benjamin) went to bed we went out on the back porch and played apples to apples by the fire. It was a lot of fun.
We had a wonderful Christmas with family and it was fun having it at the lake this year. We enjoyed our time together.
