The day of Caleb's surgery we gave him pain medication once because he kept saying he was hurting and had just been on tylenol. So I gave him the lorotab which was supposed to knock him out and it did exactly the opposite. He was so keyed up I didn't know what to do wtih him. He would bounce off the walls one minute and then he would absolutely lose it and be on the floor crying and throwing a fit the next minute. Finally I got him to bed and was completely exhausted myself. The next day Caleb was also a nightmare. He was out of control this day as well. He didn't feel good, he wasn't sure why, he didn't want to do anything but then was upset becuase he wasn't doing anything. I just did whatever I could to keep him from losing it all the time, to the point that I put his fruit juice in the microwave to make it warm for him. By day 3 we were back to normal except for the 102.7 fever he developed. Everything was fine with that and the ENT said he didn't have an infection it was probably just from the swelling and inflammation.
I have changed my work schedule slightly this year so that I can be a bit more involved with my boys school. So once a month I work different days and then end up with a 5 day weekend. I like it so far as I am in month one of this change and I have a 5 day weekend this weekend. Benjamin developed a stomach virus and started throwing up and has not felt good all day. Hopefully we can keep Caleb from getting it.
In other news my little brother, his wife, and twin boys are moving tomorrow back to California. We have known its coming and we have been dreading the move. It is just such a long trip to see them and it probably will not happen often as it is also fairly expensive. So its a sad weekend as well. I am happy for them and this change for their lives, but I am sad our boys will not grow up together.
That is about all going on here these days. I skipped my second weigh in for my weight watchers last sunday due to the fact that it was "that time of the month" and I knew my weight would not be accurate. I have done well though on the weight watchers and will weigh in again this coming sunday. Hopefully I have lost some more.
