29 Weeks - 11 to go

29 Weeks - 7 Months!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 weeks... 7 Months today. 11 Weeks to Go or 77more days until the due date.

Total Weight GainI have no interest in knowing

Maternity Clothes: Yes I am large in the belly so I am for sure in Maternity clothes. I am trying very hard to make it for 3 more weeks at work in my current scrubs. I gave up on the shirts we wore to work but i am making due with what I do have.

Best Moment of the Week: I passed my glucose test and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. This little guy has decided to move from his favorite position of being head down to now laying across my belly from left to right. It is not very comfortable for me, but he seems to love it. I also think he has started soccer practice on my left ovary. He loves to kick it and it really hurts when he does kick it.

Gender: Its a BOY!

What is going on with the Baby: Weight has not changed much this week but his brain development is in full swing. He is now starting to get the "wrinkles" that make the brain look like a brain- this makes more surface area of the brain. He is also losing the hair that covers his little body because he is now able to regulate his body temperature and doesn't need the hair to keep him warmer. Bone marrow is now making his red blood cells. The baby is in need of more calcium at this point in pregnancy which completely explains my food cravings this week.

Baby is size of: a butternut squash - 2 1/2 lbs and 15 inches long.

Movement: He has not been on the move as much the past few days as he has been the past few weeks.

Food Craving: Orange Juice... I could not get enough orange juice this week! I also wanted glasses of milk and cereal for meals. I guess this is where I needed the calcium and my body knew what it needed for his development.

What I Miss: Sleeping- this week has been a rough one for sleep. My most comfortable sleeping position (on my stomach and kind of on my side with my knee up on a pillow) is not working now. The reason being the baby's new favorite "across my belly" position. Now when I lay on my side it presses on my real stomach making me queasy. I also am having a hard time getting back to sleep if I wake up to go to the bathroom or one of the boys wakes up. Two days ago I was up from 4am on which meant I had an exhausting day.

What I am looking forward to:The nursery. I have started moving stuff out of the nursery and cleaning it out so that we can start making the nursery. Here is a picture of what I am thinking of doing for the nursery. My furniture is dark brown, but I have the cream colored chair, I am going to price beadboard today at Lowes and get some paint samples. I just like how simple and clean it looks. The room we are using does not have a lot of space so we will see how it goes. I think the lighter color will make the room look bigger. I also have a credit at the fabric store so I may get some inspiration for curtains in the room.

Symptoms: Mostly just pelvic bone pain still. My doctor checked me again just to make sure and she thinks I have started producing relaxin and it is just at work making things loosen up. It is very uncomfortable and I have a very hard time walking after sitting. My pelvic and pubic bone throbs a lot when I sit. I have to take more breaks when I am doing things because it starts to ache. I want my house to be organized and clean so I am pretty sure the nesting has kicked in.
