Welcome 2014!

I have not blogged in a long time, but it is one of my new years resolutions to try and blog something each day. Its my record of the boy lives and I need to keep it up. There are just not enough hours in the day.  Now 2014 is here and my boys are  6,4, and 15 months (tomorrow) where does the time go? We are starting this year at the Lakehouse with very little sleep. All of us have been sick with sinus, drainage, junk that won't go away. Elijah has been sick and very clingy. He will only sleep laying on my chest, so the past 2 nights have been very sleepless. Not the start to a new year I would have dreamed of, but that is life with kids.

I have goals this year that i really want to accomplish. They are year long goals, not quick fixes.
First of all I absolutey want to stop yelling/being quick to anger with my boys. This is something that is going to really take some prayer and dedication because I am so easily frustrated and my immediate reaction is to yell. I want to make this change though because I don't want my boys to remember that mommy always yelled about everything.

next I want to blog more. I want to make sure I document my childrens lives so that they can look back and see the fun things we do/did together. I am going to try as much as I can to also catch up from last year. I have missed blogging Elijah's entire first year of life. Its just so busy. I am going to try and take each month and do a big recap of each month. Hopefully I can do it.

Third: This is going to be a year of health for me. It is time to get myself back into shape. I was doing so well with running and doing my first 5K this past year. I am going to run another 5k (not sure which one yet) At most I want to eventually run a half marathon. We will see if the pain in my foot will allow this. I have already started removing all the red, yellow, and caramel colored dyes from the foods we are giving the boys, so i want to continue it into a year of health for our family.

Fourth: I want to really spend time in prayer and strengthening my relationship with the Lord. This will allow me/help me to also accomplish my other goals for the year. This is the basis of my daily life and if it is not solid, none of the other goals will be accomplished either.

I am looking forward to the year ahead. Fun times with my boys, love and daily life. It won't always be a walk in the park, but I am looking forward to a new start and goals to look forward to.

Here is to a New Year!
2014 Here we come!
