Bayfield, CO and a little fishing

I am not sure why my pictures uploaded in random order this time, but we will just go with it.  We made it on our way to Bayfield, CO and were able to get to our campsite early in the day. The entire purpose of this stop was to meet up with an RV repair guy. We truly lucked out in that this repair man lives in a 1980's motorhome and was not only able to fix our issue, but also gave us so much useful information.  Our heat quit working, our gas stove and oven wouldn't work, the hot water wouldn't get hot etc. We learned that when we had everything checked out and calibrated in Greenville, it was set for lower elevation. Every 1000 feet you increase in elevation you lose 3% power. We were going up over 10,000 feet and it just messed up the system not allowing us to use everything. Our LP gas needed to be recalibrated and we were instantly good to go. He also changed our air filter for us which will help as well with power after we get up mountains. We were able to do laundry and met some really nice people around us. So far we are not able to do a fire at night because of the fire ban right now. Fire season has started so it make since.

This is the beaver that was swimming around in the little lake at the campground. Caleb named him "Justin" Justin Beaver. It was really cool to see him swimming around. He was HUGE!

So while the RV's official name is the Rolling Ruckus she has also been named Tina the fat lard. (this is from the movie Napoleon Dynamite) as we have been going up mountains at 30 mph Brad and the kids would say "come on Tina you fat lard- get up the hill"
This is the Repair guy giving us all kinds of information and helping us get everything going again on the RV.
On our drive this was a rock that I said looked like a chimney- well come to find out it is called "Chimney Rock"
Callie has claimed the floorboard of the passenger side as her new favorite spot to sleep after her terrifying experience with the cows.
We stopped on our way down the mountain at this beautiful overlook on our way to Bayfield. The kids thought it was so awesome to throw rocks over the ledge.
Eden on the other hand thought that climbing to the top of this asphalt pile was the best thing ever.

It is crazy to see snow covered mountains in the end of May. This is a ski resort that we passed by.
This is showing how slow we had to go getting up hills. We made it fine, just at a slower pace.
We came around one corner and there were deer coming up the hill onto the side of the road. They looked really confused

We decided this was the nicest tunnel we have ever been through. It was nice and wide and nicely lit.
