Well I have quite a blog to post today about my eventful day yesterday. Sorry for the unwanted details My problem started last Thursday with pregnancy related stomach issues. The problem continued into Monday and I was feeling pretty miserable. I called the doctor to find out if there was anything I could do to help my problem so they were aware early in the afternoon I was pretty uncomfortable. Around three in the afternoon I started getting really queesy and then began to throw up all over the bathroom floor. I got so sick that I was laying on the floor outside the bathroom in a puddle of sweat and didn't even have the energy to get up when I got sick again. I was having a lot of abdominal cramping which of course scared me pretty bad. I couldn't get in touch with Brad so I called my mom and told her I needed her to help me. She told me to call my doctors office immediately and of course they wanted me to come in immediately. Mom said I scared her pretty bad when she walked in and I was laying on the floor as white as a sheet. Anyway.. I got to my doctors office and my doctor wasn't sure what was going on. She checked me to make sure I wasn't dialated (because of the cramping) and I wasn't which was good. She did however send me to the hospital to get monitored to make sure nothing else was going on. I got to the hospital where they immediately set me up on an IV to start getting fluids back into my system and they put monitors on me to check the baby. He did not like the monitors, I guess they were cramping his space because he kept hitting and kicking them. Well come to find out I was having contractions (small contractions) but they don't like anyone this early to be having even the slightest contractions. The doctor ordered some medication to get the contractions to stop. They are not sure if I got a virus or food poisioning or what the problem was, but it caused me to get dehydrated extreemly fast which is why I started having the contractions. So it is a good thing I did go to the hospital. Today I feel pretty good. A little worn out, but that is to be expected. I am on a 24 hour liquid diet which is no fun because I am hungry.
I have to say I have the best husband in the world because he came home and had to clean up where I had gotten sick all over the place. He said that is what you do for the one you love. I did get in touch with him on my way to the doctors office so he was able to meet us over at the hospital. I told my family I was just trying to keep them on their toes for when the baby does come in three months. This was our practice run! Our little guy is doing well today though. I think he is a little worn out from all the activity from yesterday because he stayed active the entire time so I know he wasn't sleeping. He has been asleep most of the day so far. Dad took pictures on my moms phone of us at the hospital so I will post them with this as soon as I get them off her phone.
