The Party...

I have been trying for days to get this posted...
Benjamin's had a wonderful 2nd birthday party. It was just family and then Benjamin's best friend Red came also. He had grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins all at his party. It was so fun for him to somewhat understand that this day was for him! It was a day to celebrate the amazing little boy he has become in his two little years. As we sang happy birthday to him he sat on the table and just took it in. He was loving being the center of everyone's attention. Obviously the party was a farm party. Benjamin loves animals, and tractors so it seemed fitting. I started making his cake at 10pm and finished around 4am, only to have to get up at 6am with Caleb. I couldn't go back to sleep so I just got up and started the day. I have to say there was something that rejoiced on this day that my little boy had his second birthday and there was also something that was broken in my heart, realizing how quickly time passes and how hard it is to take it all in as a mother. To hold on to the memories the best you can and savor every second of holding and hugging your little one because someday he is going to be a man with his own life and family. I can't believe it has already been two years. Where has the time gone? Sweet Boy I love you with all my heart HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!
