My sweet little boy. At three months you still sleep quite a bit. You have in fact turned into a really good sleeper at night. Allowing mommy anywhere from 10 to 12 hours without having to get up to feed you. I appreciate that very much. For Christmas you got a playmat that goes on the floor and you love it. You lay under the arches with toys hanging on it and you kick and move your arms. You talk and say "oh" and "ooh" and "gah." The one thing that absolutely makes your day and can make you smile more than anything is the sticker on the underside of the shelf above your changing table. Every time you are on it to get your diaper changed you immediately start to smile. It doesn't matter if it is 3:00 in the morning you will still smile at the sticker. You are starting out your 3rd month at 11 lbs. You absolutely love your bath at night and you just lay there and smile. We have somewhat of a routine at night before you go to bed. Sometimes it happens every other night. We start out with your bath, then you get rubbed down with lotion while mommy talks and sings to you. Then you get all cozy in your jammies and then I will feed you. It never fails you will doze off to sleep while eating. It is such a sweet time with you. Just me and you cuddling. You have decided you really like and want to be held all the time. As long as you are being held you are pretty happy. You love for mommy to put you in the Ergo carrier. You feel secure and warm and love to snuggle. You are starting to laugh a little. You are not ticklish yet and you do not think raspberries on your tummy are funny yet. You usually give me a look like "what in the world are you doing mommy?" I am looking forward to you starting to laugh. It is just around the corner but I am anticipating it as it will make me feel like you are responding. You have started trying to control the movements of your arms and you will try to slowly move them in front of your face or as you try to reach up and touch mommy's face. It is really cute to watch you try so hard. Your brothers are completely and totally in love with you. Benjamin absolutely will not leave you alone when you are awake. He wants to hold you and kiss you and talk to you. Right now he loves to come up to you and say "This is Benjamin, signing off." Sometimes I will walk into the room where you are in your bouncy seat and Benjamin or Caleb will be sitting next to you telling you stories or telling you something about life. They are pretty excited about you. You have started to get to the point where you are fine in your carseat as long as the car is moving. If it stops or you are sitting in the living room before we walk out the door, you absolutely lose it and scream. You have been finding your thumb more and more each day. It is no surprise to me that you are probably going to be a thumb sucker because in every ultrasound I had, you were sucking your thumb. Elijah you have brought joy and delight into my like in an unbelievable way. You are such a sweet little gift from God and I am thankful each moment I get to hold you and watch you grown and change. I love you with all my heart. Happy 3 Months!
